How Hardwood Eras handles information

Overview

Hardwood Eras is a free, independent basketball drafting game. You may play without creating an account. This policy explains the information used to operate accounts, save game progress, publish leaderboards and shared results, protect the service and measure optional site analytics.

Guest play and local storage

Guest runs, achievements, an unfinished draft and your analytics choice may be stored locally in your browser. This information remains on that browser unless you clear it. Clearing browser storage, changing browsers or using a different device can remove or make guest progress unavailable.

Accounts and service providers

When you create an account, Supabase processes your email address, password authentication and session information. Hardwood Eras stores your public display name, game runs, scores, lineup data, Daily Run history and achievement progress. Passwords are not stored by Hardwood Eras in readable form.

Leaderboards and shared results

Your display name, Daily score and team archetype may appear publicly on the Daily leaderboard. When you create a share page, the page publicly displays the coach name, score, lineup, team grades and scouting summary. Your email address is not displayed publicly.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics is disabled unless you select “Accept analytics.” After consent, Google may use cookies or similar technologies and receive information such as pages viewed, page URLs, browser or device information, draft starts, completed games and share interactions. Hardwood Eras uses this information to understand performance and improve the game, not to sell personal information. You may change your choice at any time through the “Privacy choices” button. Google describes how it uses information from sites that use its services at Google’s partner-sites policy.

Retention and deletion

Guest information remains in local browser storage until it is cleared. Account and run information is retained while the account remains active and as reasonably needed to operate, secure and maintain the service. Public share pages may remain available until they are removed. You may request deletion of an account, saved progress or a shared result by emailing privacy@hardwooderas.com. Some limited information may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention or legal obligations.

Children

Hardwood Eras is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. You must be at least 13 to create an account. If Hardwood Eras learns that personal information was collected from a child under 13, it will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect account and game data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your login credentials private and use a password that you do not reuse on other services.

Your choices and contact

You may play as a guest, decline optional analytics, clear local browser storage or request deletion of account data and public shared results. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to privacy@hardwooderas.com.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the game adds features, providers or legal requirements. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
